I was watching Dell outlet deal and found all the new listings are with GTX 965M 2GB. Does anyone know if Dell is releasing new version of XPS 9550? These new listings includes i7 and i5, the capacity is between 256GB to 512GB. I know the new Alienware will equip with 965M. I googled and found no news mentions the new graphics card in XPS 9550. If you know something, please share.

It's probably just a typo / error in the Dell outlet inventory system. The outlet is notorious for mis-listing specs.

You also gotta think... If they actually did have a new GPU in the XPS 15 9550, then you'd see it in new systems first, before it showed up in refurbished / used systems. They wouldn't release a higher-spec GPU model, just to sell it at a discount in "used" outlet laptops. :)

    Lol.

I can actually tell you exactly what would happen. You get an XPS 15, and call to complain that it doesn't have a GeForce 965M in it. They apologize, that there must have been some mix-up, and promise to send you a replacement laptop.

So they look up a laptop in their inventory system (a Dell XPS 15 that is listed as having a 965m in it), and send it to you. But of course, that XPS 15 also only has a GeForce 960M in it. So you call again, and complain. Eventually, the Dell customer service rep realizes there must be an error in the item listing in their inventory system. So s/he offers you a refund.

But let's say you're unethical, and try to feign "outrage" at all the inconvenience this has caused. You DEMAND that you get a laptop with an nvidia GeForce 965M in it. They offer to sell you something that does have that GPU, like an Alienware 15. So they give you store credit for the money you spent on the Dell XPS 15, and apply that money towards another laptop.

In any case, the best you're getting is a refund (or the equivalent of a refund in the form of store credit). You're not going to get anything "free" or "extra" from pointing out their listing mistake, and pretending to be upset.
