The leather accent has a dent, is this normal? Could it be damaged? The leather where the dent is uneven. Should I contact dell and find out about getting a replacement?

Not normal, there should be no dents. However, if you angle the laptop with specific lighting, you may see symmetrical 'impressions' on either side, about 1 cm long at most, and that is normal. Otherwise, there should be no obvious dent upon simple inspection.

No...not normal...the grain should be smooth. Yes, contact Support and have them replace it. :)
