I have installed this but when I go to device settings under mouse properties I don't have any multitouch options, just single touch

@benfink this also happened to me

Download either 13.2.2.2 from Dell under XPS 1645 or go to the link and download 13.2.1.0. These should both work.
I don't know what extra stuff Dell has in theirs or what they removed, but 13.2.1.0 worked great for me. -
I installed the driver from the link in the first post, and noticed I lost the nice middle button emulation when I pressed both buttons at the same time. This option seems to be missing completely from the stock Synaptic drivers, which IMHO is a real bummer.

The latest one is working for me.

just tried it own xps 1340, didnt work for me.
So Im second or 3rd user of xps13 for whom it didnt work.
I guess the driver isnt for everyone.
I also have 7.2 hardware version and tried the latest driver. -
a tried v14.0.3, it works perfect but i have a problem with it: the "Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached" is gone, while v13.2.1.0 had it.. is it moved to somewhere or really gone? it's really weird because this should be a basic function, now i can't set it to automatically disable touchpad when mouse is connected..

found a solution:
run this and the option is back -

http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers
Get the latest from here. It works for my 1640 -

Anyone else having issues with phantom presses with these drivers? Weirdest repeating issue is for small windows, the x in the corner (to close) keeps flickering and pressing it does nothing.
(Windows 7 x64) -
Does anyone know whether the middle button works with the latest update?
because i've been using the dell driver since a regular synaptic driver doesn't support the middle click, which is effing stupid -
Multitouch like Macbooks?
Not at all.
I have two mid 09 macbook pro's 15" & 13"
One problem xps m1130 "in the middle of an exchange"
One late 09 ThinkPad T400 and two HP 6930p elitebooks.
I have tried the new drivers on all the PC laptops and they
don't come close to what apple has going for its touchpad.
People, in my tests these don't come close to what they could be, if you don't have a mac around to compare, go to a local apple or best buy store.
I hope that the drivers will only get better, yet i think the apple experience is also the glass pad and much more sensitive pad at that.
