Hi, thanks for your help in advance.

I recieved my laptop a week and a half ago and off the bat the screen was perfectly clear (including all the websites i list below). It's a native 1920x1200 WUXGA screen. After about the 3rd time I used it I noticed that everything was a bit grainy, and when I went on sites where the text is usually small, facebook/cnn.com/this forum, I noticed the text was unreadable and crammed together. I adjusted DPI and text size in browser to no avail. Then I noticed something that I've yet to read in any of the other posts about this issue that i've seen: If I moved my screen it would go back to being crystal clear, I could physically play with the screen and get it to fix itself. Sometimes it would even cause the whole screen to have a pink glare over it with visible artifacts, but either way i was able to fix it temporarily by playing with it. Naturally I called dell and am havng the screen replaced by a quest technician. Since then the screen has gone back to being grainy, and playing with it does nothing.

The technician will be here on monday, but this set off an alarm, could it be that my graphics card is causing the problem and not the screen itself? That would explain the visual artifacts. This is a brand new laptop and im upset this is happening, I hope the new screen helps.

    Any input would be appreciated

It sounds like you are getting poor signals from the Driver board (circuit board attached to the LCD panel). I have seen that before (the pinkish distortion) on LCD panels where there were open traces internally in the PCB board. That panel needs to be replaced.
