1.Every so often I get a screen when booting up saying my ac wattage and type cannot be determind. And I'm sure my ac adapter is pluged in correctly. So why is this?

    2. I have the 320GB 5400rpm sata HDD and when installing Crysis, COD4 and a few other games, It took forever to install. Is this due to the HDD rpm speed?

    3. Is the problem with the grainy screens still present? Cause as I look at mine more(1280x800res) it looks a little fuzzy or blurry(maybe its just the placebo effect). I wanted to check and see what model I got, when I went to Control Panel - Device Manager - Monitors - Generic Non-PnP Monitor - Details - Hardware Ids- it only had something like default moniter. Is there another way for me to check what display I got? And if possibly could you show me a pic of a display with a grainy screen.

I know this seems like alot but I really apprichate it guys, cause if theres a problem now I'd like to get it taken care of while I can. Thanks!

And for the monitor details, can u tell us what exactly you saw under hardware ids?? Are you sure you didn't see any code such as "SEC3255" for example?? its usually like "MONITOR/SEC3255" or similar...

just browse down in the same place and see what it says for "device instance path" (same place as where u looked for "hardware ids" but further down in the pull down list).. see if u could find anything there.

well if these aren't user-errors and actual defects on yur m1530. i would highly suggest u get them to send u a new m1530, since u are still in yur 21-day period. when the new m1530 gets there, check to see if the replacement unit is displayin the same symptoms.

yeah I've been trying for awhile now to get my disc out but still no luck. Its making this horrible grinding noise everytime I try to eject the disc. I'm going to give dell a call tonight, should I call the tech support or customer service since I just got it?

Call tech support and he will arrange for a new one if he can't fix it.

only customer service can take care of returns/replacement. i would call straight to XPS-customer service and let them know that u are not satisfied with yur new purchase. be firm when stating yur reasons or u will most likely get the run around. let them know if u want a NEW m1530 to replace yur current one, or if u want a 3rd party to come out and fix yur stated problems. good luck!
