    Finally bit the bullet and purchased a XPS M1210 from Dell New Zealand.

    Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz
    1 Gig 533 Ram
    120 Gig HDD
    Nvidia G07400
    1 * 6Cell + 1 * 9Cell Battery
    1.3MP integrated webcam
    Vista Business

    It came to a total of $2500 NZD, which in todays dollars is $1735 USD.

    How does that price compare to in other parts of the world?

    That seems like a pretty good price. It's hard to say though as Dell's prices do vary a bit country to country.

    That's about right, at least for USD$. Then again, it depends on the value of the New Zealand Dollar, not the conversion to USD$.
