    Hi everyone =)

I received my m1330 on August 22nd and I have a few concerns.

    I built mine with:
    -T5750
    -3GB Ram
    -LED Display
    -Integrated Graphics (3100)

The reason I avoid the 8400 card is because I do not play a lot of games and I like my laptop to be very cool.

There are 3 issues I would like to ask.

    1. My LED seems to be flickering when I am not using the 7/8 or 8/8 brightness setting. This will occur when the amount of white-space on the laptop changes (like minimizing a window to show desktop).

    2. My idle temperature is about 50-55C and that I have yet to hear my fan working. When I got it I could hear the fan working and blowing hot air out, but then it stopped and the keyboard got really hot so I downloaded HWMonitor to see what is happening.

    3. Is the LED screen not that bright to begin with? The default setting in BIOS when using battery is set to 3/8 brightness and I can barely see. Did everyone else adjusted this?

Thank you for all your help =)

    1. I received my LED 1330 on the 21th and i get that exact same flickering of the screen (as if the brightness was going mildly up and down very quickly. It is very annoying).

    2. Dont know what to say about this

    3. Change the brightness on the BIOS. Set it to maximum both on AC and battery, you can still change it with the FN keys afterwards in windows.

Another thing, how is your LED screen colors definition? Mine looks pretty bad... i really haven't liked it all and will be calling dell for a system replacement cause i've algo got a bulging keyboard and the hdd makes this disturbing clicking noise...

    **** u dell..

Well you definitely have the Samsung LED screen then. Great screen but sucks unless on max brightness due to the flicker and whine.

paper_wastage: My BIOS version is A12.

I was expecting a lower CPU/HDD temperature as I am using integrated graphics.

Kreeeee: Should I be asking for a non-Samsung one then? Can you tell me the pros and cons of the other brands?

    Thanks everyone for your input!
