Hi guys, I'm new to this forum as a member but I have been reading each and every post regarding the XPS M1330 since I ordered one back in July 3rd through EPP. The estimate shipping date was Aug 28, well... today (30 mins ago) I got a call from Dell saying that my system would be shipping on the 24th of July and asked me if I wanted to use standard shipping instead of Next Day (my initial option). Looks like they ask since you will be receiving the laptop way earlier and you could save some money on shipping... OF COURSE I SAID NOOOO WAYYY!!!! GIMME THAT BEAUTY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!
Whether this materializes or not is yet to be seen but I just wanted to share this with you and see if anybody else experienced the same OUT-OF-THE-BLUE call from dell.

I will be posting my specs as soon as I get a chance... I'm at work right now... maybe when I get home.

Well, I have been calling the 1-800 service and my order has been (still shows up as..) in building stage for a week... the guy said the status on M1330 is not too accurate and shouldn't be considered as a real status... THANKS FOR THE INFO!!! ... well.. please take all this info for what it really is.. DELL'S WORD!!! almost worth nothing at all.. i guess I will have to wait and see... my specs by the way...

From call the 1-800 number, last night my order was in Build, this morning at 8:20am it was in Testing then at 11:46am it was in Boxing. I think the 1-800 phone status is alot more accurate and in real time then what the Dell rep can tell you.
So my point is, take what the Dell rep said with a gain of salt. Call the 1-800 number and make sure your order is progressing through the stages. -

I gotta call saying not to expect it anytime soon.
