    Next Business Day Delivery Question

    So my Dell XPS M1730 finally got shipped this morning! (Yay). The thing is the dell person expedited my order and gave me free next business day delivery. Since it got shipped today, shouldn't it come tomorrow (Hence the name next business day)? The dell estimated delivery date says the 29th ( Which I won't be home on ). What are your experiences with next business day delivery? Does it come the next day?

    Nvm the lady at dell lied to me. She put "next business day" delivery on my account but it did not go through and shipped through ground.

    Any way I will receive the dell before the 29th? I'm living in New Jersey... any way I can receive it on the 28th? :eek:

    I ordered my last two systems with Next Day delivery, and yes it is next day.... AS LONG as it is ready to ship. So, if your system needs to be built, and isn't ready for 10 days, on the 10th day it will be shipped overnight and you'll get it on the 11th day. So, in theory it is and it isn't....

    I ordered from the Outlet so it was already built and just had to be packed, which took one day, and then it was overnighted to me and it will arrive by 10:30am with Fedex.

    My experience is that after I ordered, the order receipt will show a future projected delivery date for ground, but it still arrived next day, so look at your tracking number they email you, it may actually come next day.

    If they shipped via Fedex, it's overnight... If it's UPS, it's ground.

    Mine says Fedex GROUND... :(

    But the tracking number is somebody elses... it was delivered august 28 :eek:

    Try going to www.fedex.com, Click *Track* from drop down menu, and it will give you some tracking options > Click *Track by Reference Number*, and enter your 9 digit Order Number number in the space provided, and then enter your Country & Shipping Zip Code. See what results it gives you.

    Or, you can also call a FedEx Rep directly - 1-800-463-3339 for an update.

    The system could be updating. I had this happen when my Mini 9 was shipped..but it changed shortly after it was updated.

    Ok, I think your best bet would be to call and speak directly with a Fed Ex Rep, or a Dell Rep. That way, you can get *factual* information.

    When, I was waiting on my 1530 to arrive and there were some delivery prob's, the Dell Rep was able to 3-way conference me into a call with Fed Ex Dispatch to find out exactly where my lappy was. ;)

    Apparently my 1640 shipped out about 5 days yet I still don't have a valid tracking number for my shipment. I was told it was shipped with Purolator, but after calling them twice (and checking their online tracking system) they still don't recognize the tracking number Dell gave me.

    How bogus is that? Dell claims it takes up to 48 hours AFTER it reaches the Canadian border before Purolator updates the tracking system. Never heard of it taking so long to track a shipment.

    I can check status of a package I mailed 5 minutes ago when shipping with UPS.
