    Hey,
I'm in a bit of a jiffie, my 1330 had some problems with overheating so I formatted but it turned out it was a piece of dirt stuck in the fan, anyways problem solved.

    I thought.

Now, I get the slowdowns again, albeit not that severe.
Now, when I open hwmonitor it only shows my CPU, HDD and ACHP.
The GPUs temp won't show up.
I installed ntune, nada, same thing.
What could be the problem, is the temperature measuring thingy broken
I'm kind of worried that my 8400m gs is dying on me since it was a pos to begin with but I really dont feel like sending in my laptop.

Any thought, ideas how I can get my temps displayed again?
It used to show up with hwmonitor before I formatted.

    EDIT:

Okay, I fixed the problem by installing the newest nvidia mobile drivers.

The temps are hovering at around 80 + degrees again!!!!!
    WHYYYYYY

yeah, if your GPU has a thermal pad, then it will cause temps to slowly increase, because for some reason the pad starts to dry up! you could try and take out the heatsink, remove the pad and put in some thermal grease, if you dont want to open up your laptop, then maybe dell could send in a tech to fix it ...
