    No function key action on L702x

    I just bought this laptop used, did a clean reinstall of Win7 x64 and have all required factory CDs for setup. At no point along the way did the function keys do anything ... no screen-dimming (even though it shows the icon), no touch-pad de-activation (though the little light above it turns on), and so on. After a search on the Dell Support Forums I tried running a diagnostic of the keyboard and installed the latest version of Dell Quickset.

    Those were the best ideas I came across, but neither one proved helpful.

    As far as screen brightness, even the sliders on the Power Plans do nothing -- I have to activate the nVidia control panel for desktop colors and adjust from there ... hardly a way to get a good calibration. ;)
