Cannot enter standby in the Studio XPS 1640, Windows Vista 64 bit. Whenever I click on standby, the computer acts as if it will go into standby, but then goes immediately to the login screen again.

I have all updated Dell drivers.

Anyone else experience this or have an idea for a solution?

Do you mean when you click 'sleep'? Vista doesn't have a standby button/option.

Yes, that's right. Sleep mode doesn't work.

Edit: Found the solution here. Guess it helps to use the correct terminology!
