Very few people answered me in the owners lounge, so i decided to make this thread:
I know there are many owners of the M1530 in this forum, and i hope that many of you would answer me this. It only takes 1 minute.

    A) How noisy is your M1530. From a scale from 1 to 9 where 1 is the best!
    B) What contributes the most of the noise: System fan , HDD , Slot drive.
    C) How is the noise when surfing the web? 1 to 9 where 1 is the best.

    Thank you

    1. Noise level: 2 (idle)
    2. Noises are from fan when CPU is high & continuous crunchy noises from hard drive.
    3. Surfing web noise level: 4 (when loading graphical pages/flash/etc.)

2 at idle, gaming, about an 7 or 8
the cooler makes the most noise when it is on high. optical drive makes regular noises, and the hard drive is pretty much silent. i never hear it.
surfing: about 2. 1 when the fan turns off.

SSD is kinda a bad investment at this stage(high prices, low write speed, probable same/more power usage, only big plus is quick read speeds)

Cloudfire, the noisiest part of the system will be the fan. Mine is on ~20% of the time. Surfing the net I would say ~5% of the time, gaming 100%. The fans are average IMO in the noise category. My HD is silent, I'm not sure if this is true for every owner though.

    Hope that helps.
