I haven't been using my laptop like crazy, but it was problem-free with regards to sound for days... and now it has returned.
Out of nowhere I returned to a youtube video to play it, and NO SOUND. Went into maxxaudio and it was set for "Headphones". No headphones are plugged in, and never were...
Before it was happening extremely frequently and I could "reproduce" it by tilting the laptop while holding it. I am leaving for a holiday soon, and worry about getting this problem resolved before I'm gone. Even moreso now concerned because if I use their send to depot, I don't have much faith that anything would actually be fixed vs "technician could not reproduce" sort of issue...
Any ideas what might be going on/what I could do to try and reproduce it reliably or even fix it myself?

*Edit*: So it's sort of happening again just like originally. It can be on "internal speakers" and then I may lift it, or bump the laptop, and suddenly it's prompting me what is plugged in and switches off the internal speakers and I have no option that I can tell to force back to the speakers.

It's a hardware issue, have it fixed or just deal with it.

At least in the short term, do you know if there is any way I can force/override the sound output? When this false detection happens, I cannot find any possible way to "force" the speakers.

Sadly I do not know of a way besides perhaps rolling back the driver to the stock microsoft. I know that before I install the realtek drivers I can't use headphones as it cannot "detect" them.

Was just watching a youtube video and had the "which device did you plug in" show up. Unfortunately it's a rather large window that I can't minimize (but I can move it far off screen...) but UNTIL I hit "OK", it continues to play through the speakers...
Gives me hope that I can somehow keep the audio playing through the speakers...

As above, if you didn't request parts swapped after last time then stop wasting our bandwidth

A tech did come with the parts but he ended up stripping a screw (the one on some metal plate near the battery) and so we couldn't go further. After he assembled it back and least u tried it out and the sound issue APPEARED to be gone until yesterday. Now it would seem my only option is Depot, which may still be okay, but I'm worried because I leave the country at the end of the month and it's not exact steps to reproduce and I would be pissed ifI got it back NOT fixed or if they damage anything else

You have 2 options, ring up and complain the idiot they sent didn't have the correct tools to do the job so you have zero faith in the RTB centre either & want a new laptop or let them collect it.
Noooo! My sound/headphones issue returned!
