    Hello all,
I am planning on purchasing the SXPS 16 this friday. I'm not a gamer but I will be doing a lot of multitasking. School work, downloading music/movies, surfing the net watching videos online, uploading pictures and a little bit of photo editing with photoshop. My question is will I get any throttling issues and heat issues as discussed in many of the threads on here? Or is it happening with just playing games?

    Specs:
    Studio XPS 16
    Core i5-540M
    4GB RAM
    FHD 1080p
    ATI Mobility RADEON® HD 4670 – 1GB

My guess is no since your prolly not gonna be taxing the CPU that much with the activities you listed

sorry for asking, but one last question. I know Dell does not include windows 7 recovery disc when shipped. Is making a copied image of the disc from the recovery partition the same as getting one from dell or should I order from Dell upon receiving my laptop?

The fact your using this CPU alone will probably mean no throttling whatsoever. Are you getting a WLED or RGB LED screen?

In some regions they still offer RGB LED's, I take it you don't have one so thats another reason you SHOULDN'T have throttling issues...there are no guarantees however.
