I been following all the threads on trying to optimize our 1730 systems and thus upgraded my drivers. I went to 169.12. I am happy with them. I have been playing The Witcher at max resolution and max quality with pretty good results.
However, it seems some people have overclocked these 8700 cards. I have no experience overclocking, but It seems the program of choice is RivaTuner.
I was hoping someone could let me know a.) how exactly i use this program (or point me in the right direction) and b.) What OC settings are people using with their 8700s in SLI.

what people seem to like (and what I like) is the clock setting I have in my sig. You can also set your memory clock to 850 if you want. Just go into RivaTuner and follow my screenshots below.
A few tips:
DO NOT JUMP THE CLOCK AT ONCE! This is a good way to start a fire.
Up the clock in 5 Mhz increments and press Apply and see how your system takes it. If it starts freezing or artifacting, you know you've crossed the limit.
Hope this helps -
Thanks for the post. That was very helpful!
