I recently installed window xp on my xps m1330 and it's working properly, but there is an issue whenever i turn on the laptop. After the Dell logo page (where u press F2 to enter BIOS) it asks me to choose to select to run "window xp home edition" or " window xp home edition" (this is not typo). When I first installed xp, I didnt do it properly so I install Vista on top of that. Then I install xp successfully the second time. Im guessing the problem is that I didnt completely whip out the xp when I first installed it??Cuz if I choose the wrong "window xp home edition", it says that some files are corrupted so it cannot run window. If so, how do I fix it? Thanks

    hope this helps
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022 but before you go deleting figure out which one is the legit one. delete the one that does not work. to see watch which xp home you choose on startup. the one that does not works in that order is the one to delete.

Thanks for the site, but the speed is still really slow even tho it skips the selecting OS part. Does anyone have any ideas? I already enabled the AHCI from BIOS. The loading of XP takes more than 5 mins before I see the welcome screen. ><
