So, who has ordered their XPS17 3D? Spec'd the way I want, it's around $1550. I only want to pay like $1150. Hopefully they start coming out with some decent coupons.

I just want that 120hz screen on my L701x for a competitive price but Dell will probably have some exorbitant $300+ price tag. Maybe we get lucky and get it for under 150, that would make my day! Pretty sure the L702x is not available to be ordered yet so I doubt anyone has.

Does anyone think there will be a L703X if so will it appear during the summer or fall and what features do you think it might include?

I can't imagine there will be a L703x until Ivybridge appears and we wont see that till early 2012. Although Ivybridge is meant to have another 20-30% increase on the Sandybridge so depending how AMD do with the Bulldozer who knows maybe we will see it a bit earlier.

I have had mine for about a month. I was able to take advantage of the $350 coupon for configs over $1600 and also a $150 coupon. Plus the rep gave me an additional $40 off and free overnight shipping when it was built. So far this has been a solid build and I am extremely happy with it. 3d is really nice with Cyberlink PowerDVD 11 for converting movies, games and photos to 3d. Just keep searching and you can find some great coupons. Good luck.

    Hi!

I recently ordered a dell xps 17 3D. I actually paid $1460.. including tax.. yes it is expensive.. well to me it is.. It will be arriving around the first week of sept. I did use the $150 discount coupon which helped a lot! Comparing to costco's xps 17 3D price, i got mine cheaper from dells website AND upgraded some of the parts. I clicked on the $1299 dell xps 3D option on the site and the only thing i upgraded was:

    windows 7 professional
    8gb ram
    1TB hdd
    backlit keyboard
    intel 6230 wifi + bluetooth
windows 7 OS recovery disc (i know i can create my own but im one of those people who want an original just incase..)

it was like 1489.99, then i did the -$150 coupon.. and when the tax was added.. the price was $1460

I just hope that i dont have the USB 3.0 problems and the wifi problems..

If you do the lowest amount.. which is $1300.. and use the additional -$150 coupon.. then you got your $1150 but not including tax. keep in mind that its like a 6gb.. no backlit.. etc.. you get the picture :) Its still a good computer though (from what ive been searching)

    hope this helps! gluck!

I paid nearly 2000 euros for it (with some coupons).
-10% on the whole order and then -100 euros.

    12 gb ram
    1TB
    GT 555m 3D
i7 2720 QM (or something like that :p)
    wifi 1030
    ...

If anybody is looking for a cheap 3D L702x, I would suggest keeping your eye out for a refurbished model in the Dell Outlet Store in your respective country or from an official Dell reseller.

I bought my L702x 3D from a reseller (via eBay) as refurbished. It arrived and was absolutely 100% in perfect working order. I paid £849.99 delivered as opposed to £1,500 from Dell directly for the equivalent model. This also included "at-home" repair warranty for 12 months.
