interesting; hope the hybird functionality works fine on my sxps 13 with these drivers on win 7;
im currently using older drivers from laptopdrivers2go; in which the hybid 9400 + 9200 switching is semi working on win 7 -
So these wouldn't work on the Studio XPS 1640?
-
It should, take a look at the "products supported" tab to see if you can find your video chip.
-
Theres nothing in this post to suggest they wouldn't work. Set a restore point and install the new drivers and if it doesn't work out just restore back to your current config.
-
Studio XPS 1640 using ATI GPU, so it won't work with NVIDIA driver.
back to topic, 185.81 is current the best driver for my 8600M GT
good performance and no problem found so far. -
like i said, on my studio xps 13, no go...even though its listed under supported devices
-
Lol oh ya, I never even realized it was an Nvidia driver.
-
the original links in the first post, are wrong
if you click on them, they are both the same 32 bit version, duh!
oh yeah and another thing.. i too also get the "only option is to install the audio drivers"
32 bit 110 megs
64 bit 128 megs
neither work -
pmassey31545 Whats the mission sir?
I installed them before reading this post and got the BSOD after about 3 hours. No games just internet and playing a little with Photoshop. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN blah, blah. We all know it. Just rolled back drivers and it's been fine. The stock driver on mine has been best so far....... -
wow nice i hit 5000 in 3dmark06 with zalman nc1000 with this driver
-
Oops - Sorry

Anybody else notice that overclocking isn't quite as stable under this driver?
Seems to me that the overclock that was perfectly stable under 185.66 (and other drivers) isn't as stable under this driver. -
When l install this on Vista 64, it only gives me the option of installing the Audio driver.
Do l need to uninstall all the old driver first? -
yes, uninstall both video and audio drivers first before install new driver.
-
Laptop2video.com has modded inf's for those who need it
-
tried the whole uninstall old drivers and install new drivers and still didnt work, only gave me option of installing audio driver. i have the studio xps 13 with the 256mb nvidia card, anybody have any solution to install these drivers...by the way, i used the nvidia tool to determin the video card i have and it did indeed tell me these drivers would work with my hardware, but i cannot get them to install
