    Oh no he di'nt!

    Anyway, I think dell realised it was the southbridge causing the issue as the 1645 mobo has redesigned heatsink covering the SB.

    Hi!

    I got a Dell XPS 1640 with HD 4670 and P8600.

    I wondered if you guys have tried to clock the prosessor, and what the results are. I can see in this thread that you where thining about it, but I cant find any results..

    Check out the 1640 throttling thread. UncleWebb has made a program called ThrottleStop which sounds like it will suit your need.

    As of yet, the SXPS16 is unsupported by setFSB as we don't have information on the PLL.

    So, for the moment, I'm sorry but no one has been able to overclock the processor, however the GPU clocks can be changed.
