I just noticed I have an additional year Rapid Response Depot warranty that starts after the end of my standard one year warranty.

I think this makes the warranty extension for the Nvidia video card problems official.

This is weird, Dell will not extend the warranty for the whole unit, the warranty will be extended to the video cards only. If after the year you have a problem with the hard drive for instance, it will not be covered, but if your computer has symptoms of having a bad video card, it will be covered, and it is not necessary that they extend the warranties to cover this, the agents will know that your computer is affected, and they will create a dispatch for you.

I suppose though if you're getting the motherboard replaced (because of the gpu failure) the only other bits you really have to worry about is the hdd and ram, which even if they fail after the replacement, you can pick up new ones fairly cheap in comparison to buying a new laptop.

I just checked mine and it only shows the 98 days remaining. Nothing else.

My gpu just failed for the second time. The first time was after about 3 months and now it is 10 months after that.
