    Open XPS 420 will warranty become void?

    if i open up the xps 420 desktop will my 1yr warranty become void?

    thats the thing john, i dont have a xps 420 because i plan on buying one soon.
    i want to install hardrive myself and wondering if i open the desktop will my warranty be void? im wondering whether there is any seal because dell may know i have opened it.

    the dell uk website is useless i tried searching with no result.

    You can install hard drives without voiding your warranty. There isn't a seal on the case.

    Yeah, you can easily swap out components and everything, just don't break anything.

    Yes of course you can open the case, it's not a game console, it's a PC.

    Just make sure you ground yourself or touch something metal to discharge. If you get a static electric shock on your motherboard... your doomed.

    Yeah I'd recommend not doing it over a carpet, do it on a wood floor with rubber shoes so you don't pick up static and keep touching metal every once in a while to ground yourself.
