Hey everyone,
Can someone please tell me how to completely disable the Intel graphics altogether? This is what they mean when the say "Optimus" right? I have ran 3 benchmarks and they have all come back messed up because of it has the two different video cards. I want to nix the Optimus/Intel Graphics altogether - my XPS is plugged in 90% of the time.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Erick

If you're just worried about the benchmark, just set the benchmark program to run with the GPU you want. That's what's great about Optimus--you have two GPUs and you can decide which programs get used by which card. For HD video, simple games, and other things that don't need the full power of NVIDIA, use the IGPU. For high-graphics 3d games and the benchmark programs you want, use NVIDIA.

Any ideas, am I missing something? -
I used this driver.

And it seemed to use the Nvidia card all the time. No more Optimus. -
Are you sure its actually affecting your benchmarks, or are you just surprised that the card is lower-end than you expected? Try explicitly running the benchmark on the IGPU using the right-click menu on the program and Run With Graphics Processor option. It should be a fair bit worse.
