Ya I will thanks
I can't wait till I get it on Tuesday and I will be playing a lot of Crysis on Max Setting
and Microsot Flight Simulator X
. Oh ya I was thinking of getting the AT&T Wireless Card does anyone know how that works?

Even with Sli 8800gtx I dont think you'll get max settings in crysis at higher resolutions, that games a rig killer, and not really intended for notebooks. But still, you'll probably be enjoying its graphical hoopla more than 95% of the ppl that own it. I just didnt care much for its gameplay weird glitches. Not saying its a bad game, just not my cup of tea. I highly recommend Overlord, assassin's creed, devil may cry 4, Bioshock, the witcher, Spore Creature Creator and Oblivion.
As for At&t wireless card, make sure At&t has good coverage in your area. I personally prefer to game right off ethernet (im using Comcast Cable Broadband), nothing wireless as those wireless cards usually have NEAR broadband speeds but their upload times are a bit low. I.E. U can see them shoot u (download speed) but arent as quick (lag) at shooting them (upload speed). Even gaming over Wifi, u lose alot of speed. If u really want to squeeze every last drop of performance out of that beast of a machine, maybe buy an expresscard soundcard to get a few more frames per second as sound is at least processor intensive, and thats alot of gpu power, i think your processor will be a little bit of a bottleneck (yes I know its the fastest one). One recommendation for next time though, only buy ram at its minimum capacity as all retailers overcharge. 4gigs at newegg.com run for like $70 and its ez to install .Hell, if u can afford that rig u might as well get an 128gb ssd drive. They're getting cheaper, check out page 49 0f the new ssd thread. Can u tell Im jealous, but alas Ive made a decision not to buy anything heavier than or close to my E1705 at 8.1lbs. Im impatiently waiting for my new hp tablet tx2500z while not a gaming machine, its decent at gaming for its size. I hope your new machine isnt a burden to u like my dell e1705 was. -
Really Can I play it at Max setting at least and is it possible to overclock the video card?
-

I have a XPS M1730 myself (with a T9300 @ 2.50GHz), but I have to play the game in lower resolutions - i.e. 1440 x 900, before gameplay is acceptably smoothLast edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
About overclocking the graphic card, DON'T. Your machines a beast that breathes fire already, don't push any more as I doubt it will be able to handle the heat...That said....
If u really want to attempt it, I doubt dell's bios on the machine will even let you. Theres other programs that may work like riva tuner, but I doubt it, like I said I own the dell e1705, and a software overclock is impossible on my computer. Though my e1705 is overclocked cuz they can use the hacked higher end xps bios. Yours, I don't think its probable, i say probable cuz in the computer world anything is possible. Instead:
Update your drivers from tweaksrus.com
Format your drive.
Disable programs at startup.
Run on an outlet not battery.
BIG ONE: If a game has tweakable settings, tweak it. Crysis definately has tweakable settings. Check out tweakguides.com -
how much did it run?? in looking at one myself but with a t9300 instead with 400gb raid, 2gb ram (ill upgrade myself to 4gb), 8800sli, intel n, web cam, ageia, 1 year warr for 2500$ shipped.. worth it?? its a "new" refurb from a guy. still in the plastic he sent me a bunch of pics so i know its like new

Hey zfactor the system that I bought from merkamerica_electronics I got it for $2999.00 so its a pretty good price I think. Hey mas5acre I will take your word for it I will not over clock the video card but I will over clock the CPU when I play games like Crysis. What is the best driver again for the 8800M GTX SLI I downloaded the new driver from DELL website. I can't wait till I get my system tomorrow

That is one hell of a notebook. Enjoy it.
