Ordered L502X screen from laptopscreen.com, returned for exchange, they returned me the same screen!

The first B156HW01 v.7 they sent me had 6 dead pixels and showed red ghosting.

I called for an exchange, they accepted, and told me they would ship the exchange after they receive the return.

Well, it looks like after they received the return, they repackaged the exact same screen with a different wrapper!

The 6 dead pixels were on the exact same location as the last one!!! (I have pictures of the dead pixels, the red ghosting, and the serial/barcode numbers at the back of the screens for proof.) I tested with the original B156HW01 v.7 screen from Dell and it had no problems.

Anyone else heard of similar fraudulent behavior from laptopscreen.com?

......if you want to buy a DELL screen....buy directly from DELL part instead.....and if you living in USA..you can be lucky...you guys have a lot bigger Part-store and with cheaper refurbish parts.

dell also has many refurbish parts, included lcd, i change 3 time from dell has a dead pixel problems. that included buy or warrany from dell. this problems usually found on after one year old model. because dell not release the new part special for old model. depend your luck. dell just has a fast on-site warranty, but the part usually not good.

orderd a screen from them for my Vostro 3450 (1600*900) and unfortunately I need to find a higher bandwidth cable. I am thinking about using one from the 3550 as they show a part number for that. I find it odd since 3450 did come with 900p panels outside of the usa..

Screen arrived in perfect shape and was a LG panel with no dead spots

You completely took my post out of context. Dell will not upgrade a 768p WLED to a 1080p B+RGLED for free without charging double than what laptopscreen.com offers (or without serious defects that warrants compensation). I'm saving a significant amount of money and laptopscreen.com has consistently been a reputably reliable company; it is just unfortunate that I received a defective screen and that they tried to defraud me by sending me back an "exchange" which was actually the same thing I sent back.

I bought from laptopscreen.com exactly because of the consistent success stories like this. I've just had no luck with screens lately haha

just reading around the forums, and hearing about your troubles sucks.
    I just replaced a 2 year old working B156HW01 v.7 with a B156HW01 v.4.
They might have done what you say they did because B156HW01 v.7 is out of stock, or very limited stock.
    I love the B156HW01 v.4 i bought from laptopscreen.com.
It is very similar to the B156HW01 v.7 i pulled out of a l501x, but better. No gloss.

I never had them send me back the original part again, but I have started marking the stuff I do send in. Using a permanent marker with silver ink I'll put a very small and unique mark. The power cord too. Then again, most times a problem couldn't be fixed by having a serviceman come to the house they end up replacing the entire laptop. Love my complete care warranty.
