    I have ordered my M1530 today :D

I was just wondering about the delivery. It sees i should get it on 05-02-2008 and i was wondering how reliable this estimate is ? As in getting it on time , early or late ?

    Can't wait :D lol

You usually get it before the date. The Est. gives them time in case something happens and there is a delay.

I ordered mine on Jan 9, got it on Jan 16. You should get it long before Feb 5, I would expect. Mine initially had a ship date of something like Jan 28...

Sorry...U.S. But even so, even of the U.S...Delivery will be ALOT sooner then estimated. I Ordered on Jan 4th Est delivery was Jan 22nd, recieved on Jan 9th.
Either way congrats on the new purchase! Waiting is always the hardest part the three major purchases' in your life will be a house, a new car and a laptop! I was actually more excited about my laptop purchases then the other two, AND they were alot more expensive! Nothing beats opening that box for the first time....

    Sounds geeky...but its true!

Ordered mine on Jan 5. It went into production the same day and has been in the build stage ever since. The estimate ship date is still the 21 st of Jan.

I had placed my order on the 7th originally, then changed a few things on the 9th. It has been in my hands since the 15th. Pretty good turnaround time if you ask me.

Are you in the UK or US? If it's the UK then they are having issues with their websites order status page according to them. My 1330 has been in pre-production for 4 days according to the website but I phoned them today and they told me it's in production and now I can't wait :D

The number is 08709060010 but they aren't open now until monday at 9am. You have to follow the option until you get to a 'check your order status' or something similar option then it's an automated service, put in your order number then say you don't want to check another order and eventually it will tell you to press 1 to speak to someone. Ask them your order status and they will have the real status. (it is a long-drawn out process)

I ordered my XPS1530 on the 3rd Jan, and had it delivered by the 8th Jan, despite the status saying that I'd get it on the 23rd Jan :)

I'm going for black. Thought it looked more professional. I;m getting the 256 because thats the only option in the UK :( wish it was 512. I also got the 1440 screen so there is a balance with gaming and everything else.

Hi, I reviewed it on my blog at www.kainzy.org - it's been flawless so far and extremely silent in every area. I went for the black one and the 1280x screen, as those were the only ones available at the time sadly.

Call the 800 # if you want to check the status of your production. All you need is your rder#. The website will only say "in production" then "shipped". When you call, it will tell you if its in the testing, boxing stage, or waiting to be shipped.

My original UK order was made 5th Jan, EDD was 24th. I actually received it on 15th Jan, but the machine was completely dead :(
The replacement machine was ordered by Dell on 17th and the EDD is 6th Feb.

The online checker is near on useless, on my original order the machine was pre-production until 13th jan, where it moved straight to "dispatched".

It means you'll get it when it's finished! (don't you hate that response on release dates, often used by programmers?) :)

Could it have said "pre-processing"? That means they're still trying to charge your credit card, except at this point it means they can't and you need to contact them.

Hey, are you going to keep track of your hits on your XPS, Assassin?
