Ordered a XPS 16

I have placed an order online for XPS, I have got a refund of my Asus V1V, decided to replace it with XPS 16.
The problem is that, in fact I forgot that the factory has moved to China (from Ireland), and I thought that I will have it in a week, thinking that is made in Ireland. On the other hand for any technical issues (I see that there are some), it will go back to China?
There is not any factory left in Ireland or UK?
..regarding the laptop manufacturer in Europa , as far as I know, the only one is in the UK, Novatech, any other?
I wanted to chose an EU manufacturer to be close enough to deal with any issue fast.

 

No one can beat the Chinese to lay out an offer for manufacturing goods especially electronics.

Here's the funny part. Even dell returns go to China, where they are repacked and sold back again to UK customers from the DELL outlet. They can beat any offer - even having it stored here in the warehouses!

My friends Dad was invited to view a manufacturing facility in China and he saw LG, Samsung, Sharp, etc. microwave ovens being all manufactured side by side in the same facility. Lol.

Thanks you for the replay. Yes you are right, the Chinese guys did a good job. I have got the laptop. I like it very much.
A quick look/check....surfing on internet and watching movies no heating issues.

I am not gamer at all. I like very much the sound, it is amazing.

I have an Amilo 1667 , the sound was good but this one I have no words, is far much better.
I do not know about the adaptor, came the one with 90 W, I do not know what do, to call them to get 130 w . This one is fine so far, normal heat.
Overall I like it very much, better than Asus V1V and paid the same price, well this is for multimedia the other one was business.
When idle mode the fan goes off, is good the fan to take a brake from time to time.
I updated the Bios to A06, I might be wrong but the fan stays on a bit longer than Bios A05.

The LCD is perfect for me, I do not know the other one how it looks like but I am pleased with this one.
The speakers ( right one) does some noise when I touch the touchpad, I will see …

Regarding the Windows 7 , I am not used with it , I would rather if I can, go back to XP. The old Amilo 1667 (athlon 3.4 XP Pro) is more responsive to application , well, I can not compare with this one,
Maybe the Mcafee make the system ( windows 7) work slower

I am lucky that I am not a gamer, if I was, the fan would be more active and the heat, in time, would affect the leather of the lid …..I do not know why Dell came up with this bad idea to have the fan in that area……….
