I ordered a replacement screen from LaptopScreens.com and got different model than I ordered.

The display in my XPS 15z is a AUO B156HW03 V.0. The display I received is a CHI MEI N156HGE-LB1 Rev. C1.

Based on what I found on Panelook.com, it seems like the CHI MEI panel uses less power, but has worse viewing angles. Can anyone give any idea which panel is better? The display arrived damaged so they said they can get a replacement out to me quickly. They said the CHI MEI is totally compatible, and I'm fine with that if it's a better panel. If it's worse, I want to make sure I get what I ordered, which is the AUO panel.

I would say as well double check your invoice and fine prints to make sure there isn't something that allows them to subsitute a different model and if not then I would contact them and say something to effect why was I not contact about the switch of which I didn't approve of. If they don't have any language stating such changes will be made unless the buyer agrees to the change then they made the mistake. But if you ordered a screen and didn't request any changes to be made to your order that is also their fault as well for doing so. But since we can't see the invoice or know of their policy that is something you must look into and contact their customer service department ASAP. Otherwise I would RMA back and stating unless it is the model you ordered then the order should've been canceled.
