With a 2 year warranty it comes and tax it comes to $830. Seems to offer good performance for the cost when compared to other systems. THoughts??

I mean that's a good deal but the M1730 was listed on the Nvidia settlement page. Newer laptops will have more ability to expand and be more power efficient and have higher performance.

The only good thing about this notebook is the WUXGA screen. Other than that, I think it's not worth to purchase 3 year old (the CPU has been announced in 2008, the other parts are even older) hardware.

With issues regarding the recall of the Geforce series for that line among with other outdated tech such as the screen (I believe it utilizes CCFL), you'd be better off just going for the latest XPS series.
