    I know there are several threads out there but it's really confusing since people with XP installed and Vista installed are mixed in within the thread.

    So how do you go about overclocking the XPS 1530 with Vista installed?

    I think the same way we do it in XP .. Using Tools like Ntune / RivaTuner ....

    I ask because RivaTuner doesn't work for me when I run it

    Keep it simple. Download and install Ntune. It integrates with the nVidia control panel, and there are less chances you'll mess up something with Ntune than with Rivatuner.
