I am currently at 700/920 for my overclocking and my temp dont go above 76 how do i tell how hot the gpu memory is and where is it located in the chip or on the mobo?

because my core is fine i just dont know about the memory

hey scott, i OC my laptop at 625 core, 900 mem, and it runs fine, GPU doesnt go above 82C, now i dont know what program may be able to detect the memory's temperature, but you should be ok, otherwise you would get strange bugs and random shutdowns.

As far as I know there is no mem sensor on the 8600, only a core sensor- hence its quite risky to o/c cause you've no idea what temps the memory is hitting, that and the fact it is merely passively cooled in the first place.

try 900 first, then go on to 925, 930, 940, and finally 950, just in case you know when your driver crashed ( when your driver crashes it shows a black screen, then your desktop appears and says your driver has stopped working and has been fixed, undo the overclock and restart your computer, because the driver gets bricked in low power mode when it crashes)
then set the highest non-crash setting and your good to go !
