I need a replacement adapter for my L702X laptop (150W, 2720qm & 555m 3gb graphics). I realised that the adapter that originally came with my L702X, which is PA-5M10, has the same specification, DC19.5V 7.7A 150W, as the old PA-15 adapter. Can I safely use PA-15 adapter with my new L702X laptop??? I'm hoping you can coz it's cheaper :D

Yes as long as end result is 150 watt (watts = volts x amps) then you should be fine.
