    Hi, i have tried everything,
i own a brand new 9400, just arrived 5 days ago.

the screen seems realy bright and solid visually
but the graphics on various random web sites is just not good enogh.

i have been through all setings / dpi settings / ati 1400 settings in properties .... made sure the resolution is set to max 1920 x 1200

    i have a 17" UltraSharp(TM) Wide Screen UXGA Display with Truelife(TM): 1920x1200

but just can gett better grapohics , many grapohics / larger text seems pixlated / computerised / as they have been resaved as lower quality jpes.... and not definded like i get on my dell desktop...

i even update drivers from dell.com from ati mobility card.

does this come down to the 9400 monitor not being a sgood as many would expect??

    xp professional, 2.0 processor

Last year I had an Inspiron e1705 (same as the 9400) with the WUXGA screen. I think I know what you're talking about.

I think the quality of the screen does have something to do with that pixelated appearance you mentioned. It's mostly when you're online though--so it also has a lot to do with the source images/text that you're trying to view. Perhaps they just don't translate very well into WUXGA.

I know my current WSXGA+ does not share that same problem.

iv played around with teh dpi

but put in back at its default setting.

    i think its 96% or 120 %
    nore \sur

but iv tried all and makes no difference for the better

if i go to small / to low of a percent its way to small to read
