    Hi all,

Hoping someone may have experience with a random problem I'm having with my xps 1530.

A few days ago it started doing rapid multiple beeps on bootup. I could boot in on last know working setting.

I ran disc checks, memory checks etc and everything came back clean. When the system came up, if I hit the start button, and phantom key press in the run box. After another reboot it was ok, no more key press.

It seems intermittent and it is not the same key press that is registering so I've ruled out a key jam. Oddly, i had only seen it at start up, but last night half way through a film, it started random key press which required a reboot.

Anyone any idea of the root cause - as it's intermittent, i'm thinking software. Maybe time to do a clean Win 7 build. Any help appreciated.

    Thanks
