    Hello all!

Whenever I load Photoshop cc in my XPS 9550 it takes forever, and even more in battery.
Also, by default Photoshop identifies the onboard video card. I've changed to the nvidia card but the loading time is even worse.

Is someone experiencing the same problem?

    Thanks in advace!!

What specification machine do you have Aitor, i5/i7 memory and hard drives - are you running the 32gb/1tb combo?

Ok that rules out the slow drive & low ram then. Are you starting it in 64 bit mode? The 32 bit version can only use a small amount of ram compared to 64 bit. Try and increase performance by giving Edit/Preferences/Performance and increase the memory its allowed to use.

    Hope this helps.

This is interesting! PS CC starts in 8 seconds or so and is ready for work.
But it doesn't recognize or activate the nvidia on its own.
Then i opened lightroom, which works with the nvidia and opened the picture in PS via LR and it worked! (everything on battery)
    Very strange...

BUT you can say the nvidia driver to use the card for PS

Did you tell Nvidia CP to use the Nvidia GPU as by default it doesn't

No, i use the standard settings
So single open PS -> no nvidia
Open LR and transfer 1 picture to PS -> nvidia active in PS

Definitely not my case... Photoshop CC loads in about 5 seconds, but afterwards it takes around 30 seconds to be responsive. Also, when I'm in battery, it takes even much longer.

loads to workspace in under 5 seconds, responsive after another 4-5

PS only detects Intel(R) HD Graphics 530, with no option for nvidia.

You have to set it in nvidia control panel not photoshop.
