Just thought it may be of use to someone, this is the M1330 taken apart. I did this to replace the slot-load dvd-ram drive.

They're both very nice laptops though, and repair difficulty does increase as size decreases. That's just expected. -
The Inspiron 1420 was relatively ez to disassemble. The HP in my sig was crazy hard to disassemble. I haven't had the XT2 or the X200T long enough to disassemble, but from the looks of it, neither one looks harder to disassemble than the HP.

From my experience, Dells are all actually pretty repair-friendly, especially since they give you a service manual. Try taking apart an old G4 MacBook; then you'll see what "complicated" really is
