And the left palm rest where the hdd is was very hot that i couldnt put mah hand on it ,
Q
Do I get a defective GPU and should I replace it with something else?
(I got this with a very good price though: $1200 after taxed and handling)
Here are the specs:

Nvidia Geforce 8600m gt

Please give me some advices, and forgive me for being noob
Thank You all

those temps are just fine. if there is any part that gets hot enough to where its uncomfortable then i would just call them up and see what u can do.

Temps look fine to me. HDD area does get a little bit hot but not to the point where you can't put your palm on it.

shoelace_510 8700M GT inside... ^-^;
Ya all of those temps are definitely within safe temps for the hardware, but if you are having problems with the case heat I would let the OEM know.

well, thanks guys, I think I will call dell to replace my HDD,
and do you know what software i can use to have a stress test on my gpu and cpu? Cuz i guess CS doesnt strong enough .
p.s my room temp was at 22*C -
overclock it.
um what's that program called agin?
3dmark06 i think can stress nice load on it -
rivatuner and 3dmark05 or 06 should be good.

and your wireless card.
the HDD is left of the mousepad, and the wireless card is below the mousepad, and those two run VERY hot and i mean VERY, almost to a point where i avoid placing it in my lap, close to my belly, if you dont know why, investigate, this only applies to the male gender.
so i would say its normal for the computer to be hot in those places, i wouldn't say its necessary to replace the hard drive, iits just the price we pay for high speed performance -
The hottest thing would be the wifi card. Just make sure that you don't cover up the air intake vent when you use your laptop on your lap.
Please check out my temp
