The wireless options for the XPS M1530 are listed as:
Dell Wireless 1505 Wireless-N Mini-card [add $25 or $1/month1]
Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card [add $35 or $2/month1]
Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Mini Card [Included in Price]
I thought 802.11n was the latest & greatest. Could someone expain what the listed options are? Also, what is a "Mini-card"? Is that something that is removeable? Is the antenna built into the screen, so it's higher than the keyboard?
Any other thoughts on deciding which wireless option to get? Thanks.

802.11n is the latest and greatest. Get the Intel card it is the best. The mini card is removable but it is mounted internally so not something that you would readily remove. The antenna is built into the screen.

paper_wastage Beat this 7x7x7 Cube
+1 with Intel
better support thru drivers and just less problems overall
if u dont want to spend that much, then keep with dell-g -
yeppers have the Intel card and works awesome!!! you get what you pay for...well to a point LOL!!!!

Well the card is pretty easy to remove. All you have to do is remove the cover compartment at the bottom and disconnect the antennae. That's it. Get the Intel card, it's one of the best cards out there for its price and function. It's been working amazing for me after switching from the 1505.

Thanks everyone. Looks like Intel is the way to go. On the Intel site ( http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/resources/doc_library/tech_brief/316286.pdf), it looks like the card is Draft 2.0. Is that the latest?
Since it's just a draft (Intel says certification is "expected"), it's possible by the time I get around to buying a router, the draft might change & they might be incompatible. Should I worry about that? I suppose if that's the case, I could just use to "g" option. Is that right? -
