My son lost his power adapter for his XPS 15 (came with the 56 Whr 6 cell battery). My Dell Vostro has a notation on the bottom that says use PA 10 or PA 12 power adapters, he says that information is not shown on the XPS 15 that he has. Can somebody tell me what the required adapter model is for the XPS 15. PA number, Watts, volts etc.?

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
Any of the Dell 90W adapters made in the last years should work. That includes P-10 and PA-3E (and most likely others).

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
PA just refers to the model name. XPS you'll want a 90 or 130 watt adapter. PA-3E is the slim 90 watt. 130 watt power brick

OK Thanks for the info.

XPS 15 is supposed to ship with the 90W AC adapter as standard; 130W if you have the 2GB graphics card. This is confirmed on Dell's web site under specs, and by a Dell telephone rep.
However, I guess they make mistakes, as I just received a new XPS 15 with the standard 1GB graphics card, but they included the larger and heavier 130W adapter. I plan to contact Dell to have it replaced with the 90W. I'll ask about that PA-3E slim adapter, thanks to Tsunade.
