When I first got my Windows 7 Upgrade kit, I upgraded my Vista operating system to Windows 7 (meaning I didn't do a clean install, i upgraded my old vista installation).

With that setup, whenever I disconnected my power cable, the laptop would automatically go into power saver mode and turn off a few other things (i think it turned off the CD drive) and it would automatically go back to High Performance mode and turn everything back on when I re-connected the cable.

    I really liked this feature.

Today, I formatted my hard drive and did a clean Windows 7 installation. Now this feature doesn't work and I can't find any options in power management that will enable this. Anyone know how to get this to work again?

    (Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit)

Nevermind, I just found it. It's under Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Power Options - Dell Battery Meter.

I think I had to install Quickset to get that option.
