    Nvidia GPU PressureEdgeFix Mod
    requires the copper plate mod

I've performed the Copper Mod to increase the cooling of the Nvidia GPU. It still failed on a regular basis and I was able to resuscitate it using the hot air ( in my case blow torch ) method. I first saw this here: YouTube - Fixing a Failed nVidia GPU on Dell XPS 1330
Even with the copper mod I was unable to edit video for any length of time and decided to try something more. I decided to see what effect transferring pressure to the outer edge of the GPU board would do by placing a square of wire around the edge of the GPU mount board. I am amazed at the results!
I pushed the limits and did end up having to blast the GPU one more but I can do much more without a GPU failure than I could before!

As noted above this modification is in addition to the copper mod. It can't work unless you have a copper sheet pushing down on it so the copper sheet must be big enough to cover the entire GPU assembly.

Here's my first try at a youtube video.

I used copper wire. The thickness should be equal to the height difference between the GPU mini-board and the GPU chip itself. I'm not sure what I used... but I'm guessing it's about 22 guage? Hmm.. just fits into the m1330 speaker grill holes - lol ;)

Don't short out the small components on the gpu mini-board!!!

If you try with other ( non conducting ) material I'd be interested in hearing your results. I don't think the heat plays a part?

Try at your own risk! I cannot assume any risks with this or any other modifications I've mentioned above.
