So i started up my computer this morning and this is what happened:

After the vista symbol appeared during the boot up, the log in screen never came on. It was just a black screen with the mouse pointer. So i typed in my password anyway and my desktop came up but had four messages on it. This is what they said:
    1. Fingerprint Software Error-Cannot initialize application. An internal error occured(object: objlib-noload(C:\ProgramFiles\Fingerprint Reader Suite\bio.dll))

    2. Run DLL-Error Loading C:\Windows\system32\nvsvc.dll
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

    3. Run DLL-Error loading C:\Windows\system32\NVCpl.dll
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

    4. Apoint.exe-Application Error. The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000142). Click OK to terminate the application.

Also, i cannot connect to the internet and the only thing showing in the bottom right hand corner next to the time is my anti-virus symbol. When i try opening the internet or itunes, the same message as number 4 comes up.

Does anyone know why this has happened and how can i go about fixing this?

I greatly appreciate any help. Thanks

hmm the first three is used by nvida drivers and last one by touchpad driver ... i would suggest you boot into safe mode an remove device drivers for it and install it again

    or do a system restore

do you think a system restore would successfully fix the problem?
