This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Problem XPS1330 + ext Screen. Max Vertical resolution down to 720!!

    Hi!
    My XPS1330 is running XP SP3, with Geforce 8400. I use an external 17" OEM screen with VGA connection and extended desktop configuration.
    My problem is: when I use the XPS alone, it works fine with 1280 * 800.
    But, when the external screen is connected, the XPS screen resolution goes down to 1280 * 720 (it sees horrible!)
    External screen resolution is fine: 1280 * 1024.
    Anyone knows how to solve or workaround this issue?
