    Problem connecting my XPS M1530 via HDMI!

    Just bought a new TV (Sony 32S3000) and a HDMI cable. I was under the impression that it would work in a fairly plug and play type manner but alas no. The TV doesn't pick up the laptop and I can't for the life of me find any settings on the laptop that would seem to work. I've tried Fn+F8ing to no avail so I was hoping somewhere here might have some ideas....

    Any ideas or hints would be greatly appreciated...cheers

    I did try searching. The majority of threads are about getting sound through HDMI. My issue is that I can't get anything.

    Have you tried seting the tv input to video 2 or possibly other settings on the tv.
