I had this laptop for a couple of years now with no problem except for a couple of weeks ago.
I had a problem with the screen, where the images were barely visible, so I called dell and they sent a tech over. The tech replaced my screen and motherboard, afterwards, it was great!
I decided to do a system restore, pressing the ctrl + f11 key at the startup screen, and I restored the computer. After restoring and updating the laptop, I decided to turn it off. After turning off for a good 25 minutes, it turned itself back on all of a sudden. I thought I had accidentally pressed the 'on' button so I decided to shut it down again. After a good 15 minutes or so, it turned itself back on. Now, every time I shut it down, and being off for anywhere from 5-40 minutes, it just turns itself on.
I called dell and they had no idea what the problem was.
Does anyone here know what the problem is and is there a solution?

sesshomaru Suspended Disbelief!
It's probably for updating that the computer is waking..Try disabling automatic updates, and any other tasks that you see in task scheduler..

I turned off the automatic updates and any other tasks but it still turned itself back on.
