    Hey guys,

I've had my XPS 1530 for over a week now. When i first got my laptop, I did the recommended clean install and I installed Vista 64bit. Everything installed perfectly fine, no problems at all. When I wanted to adjust the volume on my notebook using the touchpad, I could press and hold the volume control for faster volume adjustment or i could tap the volume control for slower, but a more precise control.

About 3-4 days ago, for an unknown reason, I can no longer press and hold the volume control to adjust the volume. Now I have to tap the volume control over and over again to adjust the volume control which takes forever. Anyone else have this issue? Is their anyway to fix this?

What BIOS version are you running? Have you tried to troubleshoot it through support.dell.com or calling technical support? I would call and see if they can troubleshoot it or dispatch a tech to look at it.
