I have a new problem, the LCD display shut down but the computer still is on. In the first was rare but sometimes it get annoying. Is like 1 day it happend 3-4 times and the other day only happend 1 time. I use a lot the PC so it is on more than 8 hours a day. I think that is overheated GPU but happend in normal temp also not vertical lines, etc... I put the PC in sleep mode, wait a minute and open again and can be used. I dont know if that is a program making that, the GPU or other thing.

when the screen goes out- look very close at the screen see if you can see the desktop ( very faint) it may be your inverter or backlight... also hook up to external monitor see if the same thing happens

    good luck

Are you sure it isn't in standby? Go into the power settings and check.
