last week when i went to turn on my laptop the normal loading would not come up and it would say dell media and then go to a blue error screen.
after talking to dell they said that it was a problem with my harddrive and it had to be replaced.
Today when i went to try it before the dell come to fix it it loads up straight away and all my files are still there. Im confused why it is now working when i was told its a problem with my hardrive.
Im am moving all my data onto discs.
But should i still get the harddrive replaced?
Also now my battery is not charging up.
The laptop was only bought in august.

Most likely the OS is corrupted. Go get your HD replaced anyway.
For now you can download HDtune or run CHKDISK for any bad sectors. -
I assuming, you didn't shutdown properly, so you got checkdisk or might be Blue screen of dead in short BSOD.

If I were you, I'd just get the HDD as well as the battery pack replaced.
