I ordered my M1330 XPS yesterday, my first ever laptop![]()
I got:
Intel® Core 2 Duo T5550 (2MB cache/1.83GHz/667Mhz FSB),
3GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (1GB x 2GB)
Slim and Light LED Display with VGA Webcam
128MB NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 8400M GS
250G 5400RPM SATA HDD
The next option up for Processor wise was like an extra $200 for a 2.0 Ghz 800 FSB processor. I didn't think it was worth the extra cash since the ram run @ 667Mhz, which would bottle neck it.
How does my system look?
BTW, I noticed that the T5500 is common, however, the T5500 with 1.83Ghz is NOT very common. Hmmmm.
Oh and this is my first post, hopefully many more, non troubleshooting ones to come![]()

Yep not as common as the T5500 but maybe they came up with some extra stock on the T5550.
In my opinion it's not worth the extra money when you can get a T9300 for about $200 in a few months. -
Looks perfectly fine for Vista and other simpler applications.
Will you be playing any modern games? -
This will be my web browsing/DL'in/Watching xvid movies/DL'in MP3's Machine. -
Well I'm stupid, it isn't the T5500, it's the T5550, which is Socket P, if I'm correct.
