Well I received my XPS today with no additional goodies. I made one phone call and in a nice way told them I was disappointed that I didn't get any of the "free" goodies. I told her I thought I'd be getting the sleeve and cd case like I saw on all the reviews of the XPS on the Internet. The rep apologized and asked if I wanted a cleaning cloth and earbuds also. I said yes of course. Then she sent me this e-mail:

    Hi Tony,

As we discussed, I’ll be processing a request to have you sent the XPS earbuds, the sleeve, the cleaning cloth and the cd case. I’ll be updating you on the progress of the request, If you have any questions please feel free to contact.

I was hesitant to call but glad I did now.

Glad you got them with no hassle I probably spent upwards of 4 hours just getting a $75 gift cert. and the earbuds.

Just an update. My service rep couldn't find a few of the items. She asked me if a $100 coupon towards Dell accessories would be acceptable and of course I said yes.

i definitely think the key words are to say "disappointed that I didn't get any of the "free" goodies. I told her I thought I'd be getting the sleeve and cd case like I saw on all the reviews of the XPS on the Internet"

cuz all i did was e-mail using those key words, disappointed, expected to get them, saw them on reviews, and the easily gave it all to me no hassal...
and my friends also say the words i say above and they easily get the accessories.

If you read my post that's exactly what I said. Did you get all 4 accessories and when? Recently? I think a $100 to buy what I want is still good!

I was happy I got all those items when I bought my m1330. The best deal were the eaebuds as they are at least a $40 value. I stop using my Sony bud and now only use them.
Let me tell you, I have always use Dell for all my systems since 1990 and still will. They are a good American company. There will allways be problems but they will fix them if the can. Having a warrenty is always a key to good service.
